TrackDistribution: Image Room Mapping

Track Product Updates

You already know that photos are the most important part of your listings. Now, we’ve made them even better with Image Room Mapping.

This new feature lets you associate your property photos with specific rooms, transforming your listing from a simple gallery into a visual tour. No more generic icons for bedrooms and bathrooms. Once you’ve mapped your images, guests will see actual photos for each room, making it easier for them to understand your property’s layout. This not only improves their experience but also makes your listing stand out.

Ready to get started? We’ve created a short training video to walk you through it. If you have any questions, contact your CSM or email [email protected]

Why Image Room Mapping Matters

Simple & Flexible: You can choose your level of commitment. Even minimal mapping (just bedrooms and bathrooms) will replace generic icons with real photos under “Where you’ll sleep,” offering an instant improvement.

Airbnb Photo Tour: By mapping at least 80% of your images, you can activate Airbnb’s photo carousel, which organizes your photos by room and provides a dynamic, interactive tour for potential guests.

Track API: Utilizing the Track API for room mapping data on your website enables the creation of a direct booking experience superior to those offered by OTAs, which must cater to a wider variety of inventory. Your website should serve as the definitive representation of your property, and this additional mapping data will support that goal.

Improved Guest Experience: Associating photos with the specific rooms in your rental will give guests a clearer understanding of the property. This clarity leads to more accurate expectations, which in turn results in more confident bookings and improved review scores.

How to Get Started

  1. Access Image Editing: Go to your property images in your management system.
  2. Map Images to Rooms: Select an image and use the edit button to assign it to a room (e.g., Bedroom 1, Kitchen, Living Room).
  3. Go Further (Optional): To meet the 80% requirement for the full Airbnb photo tour, consider creating additional “rooms” like Exterior, Pool, or Hot Tub and mapping photos to them.
